Texture,is another element is used to describe either the way

three-dimensional feels than when touched, or the visual "feel" of

two-dimensional work.

Everything,including works of art, has a texture or surface. Texture

can be rough, bumpy,slick, scratchy, smooth, silky, soft, and prickly,

the list is endless

Types of texture

There are two types of texture

tactile texture: it is a feeling, you can touch and feel by touch.
In art, the painters can achieve effects of texture in his paintings,
using different materials and techniques.
The specific use of a texture will depend on the feeling that is
sending the author or artist's work





Visual texture: visual texture is just an illusion caused by
techniques of painters and artists. Painters and sculptors working in
the realist style mimic natural surfaces and textures. The intension
of this typeis to create an illusion real to the viewer's eye. This
texture is generally achieved by repetition of the form and line.

What is it that texture describes of an object?

The texture describes the surface (roughness or smoothness) of an
object. If it is smooth, with holes, etc.; due to the appearance with
surfaces, the texture can also define the shape of an object.

I think the texture is important for architecture, because it gives
the appearance of spaces. It is impossible not to feel the texture of
architecture, since each material used has a different surface. You
can generate feelings of depth in the definition of the spaces. We can
learn to use textures forus to create illusions and sensations that
captivate all eyes.
